Maker: German Model: Double Caliber/Gauge: 16ga

NSN, 16 Ga., 25 3/4” barrels with good, lightly pitted bores. This is a handsome, sling swivel-equipped shotgun with unusually short underlever hinged just ahead of the trigger guard. The Damascus barrels have an overall two-tone gray patina with platinum inlays at the breech, as well as a Munich maker / retailer name on the thick rib: “”Miller FA Baader u. Sohn in Munchen”. The frame and back-action locks are mostly dark, pewter gray with engraved game scene vignettes and floral filigree. The checkered walnut buttstock has a rounded cheek-piece, and a flared “pistol grip”. The wood has scattered small handling marks and minor blemishes in the original varnish finish, and has beautifully carved vine filigree behind the cheek-piece. The lock-up is still tight and the locks are fully functional. The length of pull measures 14” to a steel buttplate. This is an attractive pinfire shotgun, and rates very good-fine condition overall.
